When it comes to power, acceleration, handling, steering and utility, no other
truck performs better than the Mazda Pickup truck. Its robust engines and superbly
tuned suspensions guarantee you excellent handling and great power for towing
and hauling. Mazda offers pickup truck in three trim levels: B2300, B3000, and
B4000. They are no longer referred to as the B-Series; they are now simply called
as Mazda trucks. They sport the most powerful engine in the compact-truck class.
You can choose from the different powertrain combinations available. Mazda B2300
is powered by a 2.3-liter dohc four-cylinder engine, the B3000 Dual Sport, by
a 3.0-liter overhead-valve
V6 engine, and the top level in 2WD, the B4000 Dual Sport, by a 4.0-liter sohc V6 engine.
All three Mazda truck engines are durable and easily maintained. Each can be
equipped with either a 5-speed manual transmission or 5-speed automatic. The 5-speed
manual transmission is heavy-duty gearbox that maximizes torque from the engine
in lower gears, giving out great power at the startup. The higher gears provide
a smooth ride and better fuel efficiency by keeping the rpm low. Except for the
B2300 Cab Plus, any Mazda Pickup Truck can also be equipped with 5-speed automatic
transmission, which has electronic controls that monitor engine operating conditions,
helping you achieve maximum efficiency from the transmission. The Mazda transmission's
5 speeds maintain the engine's optimal rpm range during acceleration, which gives
the vehicle outstanding performance, torque utilization and smoother ride.
